TRAMA JERSEY: A DESIGN WITH SOUL, BORN AT HOME

Inspired by a handmade print created more than 40 years ago

Every garment has a story. Some are born from innovation, others from heritage. The new TRAMA model represents both worlds: a contemporary reinterpretation of a design with history.

TRAMA is not just a technical jersey. It is a tribute. A dialogue between generations. A way of paying tribute to the work of Paco Rodrigo and María Jesús Uranga, and of showing how an idea born years ago can still be alive today, evolving without losing its essence thanks to its current designer, Amaia Rodrigo.

AN ORIGIN WOVEN WITH HISTORY

In the late 1970s, Paco Rodrigo extracted a pattern from a natural burlap sack. That pattern, engraved on a stencil, became a handmade print, with texture and character.

A weft, in its most literal sense, is the set of threads that interweave with the warp to form a fabric - in this case, the sack.

In 1988, coinciding with Pedro Delgado's victory in the Tour de France, that fabric was exhibited at an international fair in Germany, attracting attention for its originality.

Even today, that fabric is still treasured in the Etxeondo archives. And it has served as a starting point for multiple versions: from thermals in the early years, to a more recent winter collection. Now, that legacy is reinterpreted with two versions of jerseys full of life.

TRAMA NOWADAYS

That original idea is back in jersey form: reinterpreted, modernised, respected. Designed for summer, it is lightweight, breathable and designed for riding with personality. But above all, it is a garment with soul.

At Etxeondo, we continue to pedal with the values we were born with: commitment, authenticity and passion for detail. TRAMA is a reflection of all this, and it is one of those threads that we are proud to sew again.
